306 Days of Aaliyah
I know I've said it before, but everyday Aaliyah becomes an even more alert and bright baby- no surprise, that's how life works, right? But it is so cool to watch human development first hand! Not to mention month by month.
Aside from now eating regularly, Aaliyah is: napping on schedule/has a routine down, she sings/hums, plays independently (while being supervised of course), tries to stand completely on her own (there have been a couple of successful attempts), she holds on to things to "walk" from one place to another, she knows how to shake her head to say "no," she can babble/ask for help, she raises her arms to ask to be picked up, she recognizes people, she can copy an action (like clapping or bringing food to her mouth), and she also understands that one action leads to another. For example, she understands that pushing the button on the side of our couch will recline the couch. She also has learned that if she can't quite reach the button, she can grab a long object to reach the button that will recline the couch 😂. She is going to be a handful as she discovers more about her world.
Even though it means there will be a lot of chasing after her, I cannot wait for Aaliyah to learn how to walk. It's also scary to think that she will be older, but it's exciting to think of the little ways she will start to become an independent little toddler. No rush, just something to look forward to.
It's a short blog today! I signed off of work, Aaliyah took a nap, and we went out for Mexican food- it’s Friday! We have a play date tomorrow with my friend who has a 1 year old! I’ll keep everyone posted on how that goes.
I hope everyone is doing well, and I am always so grateful that Aaliyah is so loved!! She is honestly the sweetest angel.
XOXO
Jocelyn
